Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment presents:

Sean Taylor • October 16

Canadian country music from the heart of the prairies – Winnipeg, Manitoba. 2024 Manitoba Country Music Association “Group of the Year” and “Album of the Year” award winners, The Sean Taylor Band is a six-piece country band that blends great entertainment with top notch musicianship to kick as much a** as a country band can.

Featuring Greg Dunstan on bass, James Klassen on keys, Sean Taylor Johnston on acoustic guitar and vocals, Juno Award winner Jeff Kula on drums, multi-time MCMA guitar player of the year Sean Borton on guitar, and 2022 MCMA Auxiliary Play of the year Blaine Badiuk on fiddle and mandolin.

The Sean Taylor Band has been honoured to play many amazing festivals and events over the last decade, such as Dauphin’s Country Fest, Morden Corn & Apple, Norseman Days, Manitoba Ag Days, and countless rodeos. The band is adept at creating just the right setlist for every event.

In its 10th year the group continued to build on its live show success. In April 2024 they released their award-winning self-titled debut album, which amassed over 100k streams and 1k physical sales.

Early singles such as “Tan Lines”, “Rolling Stone”, and “Someplace Better Than Here” gained radio play and streaming success across North America. Later singles “Alberta Sunrise” and “Back Roads & Binos” caught the eye of Sirius satellite radio and have been broadcast worldwide. “Cowboys Last Ride”, a band favourite, also received rave reviews from across the continent upon release.

“Wow, so many have tried to capture the feeling of the rodeo cowboy, I myself rode for almost 12 years, and very few have actually captured what is going through a cowboy’s heart and mind. Sean Taylor has captured that feeling perfectly. He is now up there with Chris LeDoux and George Strait in being able to sing about the Rodeo Cowboy and make people really understand who they are. We are adding this song, and with pride too I might add.”

The Sean Taylor Band has completed its second album in 2025 and will be releasing singles in their preparation for the busy 2025 summer touring schedule.
