History

Prairie+Fusion+2908586+r3+cd.jpg

In January 2019, two organizations became one. Portage Community Centre Inc. and Portage & District Arts Council amalgamated to become Prairie Fusion Arts & Entertainment. PDAC was founded in 1977 after local artists and community volunteers set in motion a movement to provide space to educate and promote the arts. The Portage Community Centre Inc was founded in 1987, and managed operations of the William Glesby Centre. PFAE is dedicated to teaching, sharing, and celebrating artistic expression through programs, performances, and exhibitions in a welcoming, supportive environment. Our vision is to be the artistic hub of the community, providing an inclusive environment where all people can experience, learn, create, and celebrate the arts.
