Terms & Conditions of Gallery and Exhibitions

  1. Contract

    If selected, the Exhibitor(s) WILL be required to read and sign a formal Exhibition Contract that will detail hanging requirements, set up/take down dates and times, receptions dates, and all other exhibition related processes.

  2. Materials & Preparation

    Please upload a maximum of 10 .jpeg images of your artwork that are identified with your name and title of artwork. Include a descriptive list that includes number of artwork, title of artwork, medium used, date of work, and dimensions. Image numbers should correspond to number and title on descriptive list.

  3. Insurance

    PFAE provides insurance for the artwork while it is located on our premises and noted in the contract. It is the responsibility of the Exhibitor to disclose the value of each artwork to be on exhibit to staff at PFAE, regardless if the artwork is for sale or not.

  4. Security

    The Exhibitor acknowledges that there is no formal security on premise and that PFAE is not responsible for any works that may be damaged or stolen during the Exhibition. PFAE takes care in the safety and presentation of each exhibit and necessary steps are taken to decrease opportunities for damage and theft.

  5. Commission & Sales Transactions

    PFAE will accept and process all payments for the sale of artworks on behalf of the Exhibitor and designate them as sold. PFAE will accept payments in the form of cash, Interact, MASTERCARD or VISA. A 25% commission is calculated based on the posted price of the artwork; the exhibitor will receive a payment of total sales minus 25% after the exhibition is completed.

  6. Aprove or Deny

    Due to the sensitivities that must be considered in a public multi-purpose environment, PFAE reserves the right to refuse the display of any works that contain obscenity, brutality, in some cases nudity, or works that may be deemed offensive in nature. PFAE also reserves the right to remove any work that imposes a health and safety risk to patrons.

  7. Multi-Use Facility

    The Exhibitor acknowledges that PFAE is a multi-use facility. Please note that in some cases the gallery may be closed for private events or rentals. Contact staff regarding hours available before advertising your exhibit.

Advertising & Promotion Terms and Conditions

PFAE encourages exhibitors to promote their exhibit and we ask that all advertising and promotion, matches the promotional material that we have created. This applies to methods of print, social media, web based, posters, brochures, flyers, and any other marketing/advertising methods and tools. in the instance various media may approach you, the Exhibitor, we ask that PFAE is notified immediately and any materials given to the press are approved by PFAE.

PFAE provides marketing opportunities for Exhibitors, to take advantage of these opportunities we ask that written material and photographs be provided by the Exhibitor(s) 9 weeks before the exhibit date via email to lee@prairiefusion.ca. The artist may also allow PFAE to use the previously submitted artist statements and proposals. PFAE reserves that right to shorten, modify or edit any content to fit appropriate media, taking care not to disrupt the integrity of the piece(s) being utilized for promotions.
