Session 1 instructor is Kristine Mae De Leon, also known as reirei18, is a self-taught traditional artist with proficiency in digital painting using Adobe Photoshop since 2009. She worked on concepts and character art for the Tim Horton’s Farm Game (PC), contributed character art for Aah Impossible Rescue (Xbox360) and concept artist for the remake of Love and War (PC). She also exhibits on various convention in US & Canada, got featured in the Winnipeg Free Press (2012) and had a segment at ShawTV Winnipeg Art (2018). Currently a freelance artist, Game Master for an online rhythm game called BandMaster (for PC see Games) and an online anime art instructor for pre-teens and teens via Forum Art Centre since 2019.

Art Style Specialty: anime/manga, semi-realism

Session 3 instructor is Rachael Clarke, an author/illustrator living in Portage la Prairie, MB. She's a lifelong artist who loves to sketch, paint, and sculpt in any medium. She earned a fine arts scholarship (2001), won first place in a Skills Canada Competition for artistic photography (1999), and has successfully completed many creative courses over the years, including the RRC Polytech's Children's Book Illustration course (approx. 2019).

Her fiction has won international competitions including The Writer's Workout's "Writer's Games," and the Write Fighter's 3-Day Novella Challenge, and she competed on the Write or Flight reality TV show, which filmed in Peru (2025). She owns her own micro press (Page Turn Press), designs book covers, and illustrated her own children's chapter book "The Big Ol' Bike," which was a top 3 finalist for the Hindi's Libraries Females of Fiction Award (2021). These 4-week classes will teach kids the basics of illustration as well as fundamental drawing skills! With the tools taught in this class, kids will be able to draw with more confidence and even just off the top of their heads. These lessons will also give them a better understanding of proportions so they can draw from picture reference more accurately. This is one of our foundational Visual Arts classes that will help emerging artists grow their skills for any craft.

If the minimum enrolment of 4 participants is not reached 2 weeks prior to start date, the class or workshop risks being cancelled.
